Who’d have thought that colour cosmetics and sports would be a great pair? Discover the new match, made in Canadian heaven!
Canadian manufacturer Groupe Marcelle recently launched the www.cheerforjenn.com Website to announce its support for freestyle skier Jennifer Heil. Born in Alberta, Jennifer is already a four-time World Cup champion and 2006 gold medalist in freestyle skiing at the Torino Olympics. She is also Canada’s first hope for a gold medal, since the women’s freestyle skiing competition will be the opening event on the first day of the games next February at the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver.
Jennifer’s shot at the gold medal will be a twenty-five-second ride of her life. As the first hopeful Canadian athlete, a lot will be expected from this race and the pressure will certainly be on. “At many moments in my career, I have realized just how important encouragement is. For me, it’s a source of motivation that gives me a second wind. I know there are people behind me who trust and believe in me. I’m very pleased that Groupe Marcelle has given me this opportunity to count on my fans’ support”, says Heil.

The Website allows you to cheer for Jenn via Twitter and your own blog. Each message submitted by video or text will give fans (including you!) a chance to enter a contest to win a day of skiing with Jennifer. Additional prizes will be drawn between November 16, 2009, and March 29, 2010, including Marcelle® products and products from Jennifer’s other sponsors, including Oakley, Specialized sporting equipment, Hart skis and jewellery from the Birks Jenn Heil Collection. Web visitors can also increase their chances of winning by inviting their friends to send their own messages of encouragement for Jennifer.
