The Promise:  “Lip gloss juiced up with 8 hours of lasting shine. Spends every minute comforting lips. In 18 glistening shades from sheer to full intensity. Moisture makes each one even more mouth-watering. Protects lips, too. Welcome to our juice bar.”

Pros: Easy application, gorgeous even colour. Feels good on the lips.  Not too sticky with a medium shine effect and is not drying.

Cons: The colour starts to fade after 2 hours (assuming that one is not a “lip licker”). 

Rating: 4/5 stars! **Not very long lasting but it’s very easy to use, the price is reasonable and overall a very good gloss for everyday wear.

I am not really a big fan of high maintenance make up. I am really lazy when it  comes to applying make up so a no fuss 30 second solution is usually very appealing. So when I got a free tube of the L’oreal Double Extend mascara, I was very skeptical about liking it. Heck, I was even prepared to hate it all together. Who needs a double step in the morning? However, I was quite surprised with the results. It was quite easy to apply. The mascara comes with a base coat (with Ceramide R that will nourish each lash line) that you must  apply first. Then you have to apply the dark colour to lengthen and thicken your lashes. I don’t have the thickest or longest lashes so it was nice to see definition. It’s a tiny bit clumpy (which is the norm for most thickening mascaras) and if you put too much your lashes will look like spider legs. A quick swipe with a lash comb solves the problem and I was left with long and beautiful lashes. This mascara is perfect for evening wear, for smokey eye application or if you want to go for a glam look. The mascara did not leave “raccoon eyes” by the end of the day and it comes off easily with just water!  The Double Extend Tubes retail for $14.99 (very reasonable) at most drugstores and department stores.
