Emma Watson for Burberry

Emma Watson for Burberry

Hermoine Granger is looking so grown up and beautiful in the Fall 2009 Burberry ad campaign shot by Mario Testino. I adore her neatly trimmed, tousled hair and smokey eyes.  All cool and navy blue, she looks very grown up indeed. I find the ad a little on the boring side. I haven’t looked at a lot of Burberry’s past ad campaigns but I guess classic and cool are the working mantras so I can’t really expect anything innovative or jaw dropping. I mean the look sells. I’d buy it.  The work is beautiful. Compared to other ad campaigns that I would scan by the centimetre (captivated),  I looked at the Burberry ad  (and it took 30 seconds to scan all 3 pictures) and I’ve moved on. I’ve forgotten all about Burberry and Hermoine. I need a new fix.

Burberry Ad for 2009 = classic+cool+good looking people+celebrity factor = O000hh ahhhh!

But seriously, Emma looks really beautiful in a quirky way.  I’d love to see her in future ad campaigns that are more on the unconventional side.
