Make a deep side part. Wrap two-inch sections of hair around a one-inch curling iron. Once you’ve curled your entire head, pull all the hair toward the nape of your neck, covering your ears. Flip the ends under and pin them in so that the hair maintains its bobbed shape.
Start with a deep side part. Using randomly sized pieces, French-braid the larger section of the hair beginning at the hairline. Once the braid reaches the nape, combine it with the section of hair from the other side, anchoring into a low bun.
Pull blow-dried hair into a high ponytail with a paddle brush. (If you have bangs, smooth them down with a round brush while drying.) Flatiron the tail, then use a dab of serum to add shine.
Spritz a volumizer at the roots, then blow-dry the hair roughly. Tease the hair from forehead to crown and smooth the top layer of hair over. French-braid from the center middle of the head to the ends. Secure with an elastic band.
Let hair fall naturally for a messy, zigzag part. Wrap five- to six-inch sections around a large, clamp-free iron to create haphazard curls. Finish with a spritz of saltwater spray, then finger-comb.
