American Apparel is one of my favourite go-to store for basics. Leggings, tees, sweats, tanks, you name it and they have it! My favourite piece from this company is a dress that you can wear in about 5 different ways. I love bringing it with me when I travel because it saves a lot of luggage space.

Trench Coats are not on sale at Sirens! Buy one and get the second coat (of equal or lesser value) half off. If you’re looking to buy one coat, I think that the best way to take advantage of deals like this one is to find friend who is also looking to buy a coat. That way the cost of two coats can be split between two people making the price of the one coat cheaper.
Holt Renfrew is having a shopping event filled with fashion and beauty gift with purchases, appearances, trunk shoes and contests. There’s still 2 days left (the events end on March 20, 2010) so all is not lost.
Participating Holt Renfrew locations include: Toronto (Bloor, Sherway, Yorkdale), Calgary, Edmonton, Montreal, Vancouver, Ottawa, and Quebec City.
Receive 30% off the new Danier spring collection. This promotion is valid from March 19 – 20, 2010. To get the discount the printable coupon must be presented at the register. This discount is good for use at the outlet locations as well. See terms for more details.
Danier is always reliable for classic and modern outerwear and accessories. I saw a really pretty light pink leather jacket the last time I was there. Hmmm. Tempting!
‘Tis getting warm again! The weather has been beautiful here in Toronto. Warm, mild and sunny. I am very happy that summer is coming. I am keeping my fingers crossed and I hope that we don’t receive a last minute present from winter in the form of a blizzard!
So now that the spring/summer styles are out, I am sure that we are all excited to show off our new frocks for this season. Flirty summer dresses, sexy open-toed shoes, pretty tanks and skirts might be a tad too bare to wear in this transitional weather.
I found this video from WhoWhatWear that talks about how to incorporate your current wardrobe with the upcoming season’s trends.
Here are 2 basic looks that they talk about:
It’s all about the layers
Wear the summer dress in the spring with a blazer, cardigan, or jacket along with tights.
Wear tights with open-toed summer heels.
COLOURS
Instead of choosing basic black accessories, go for the colours of the season.
Complete a short survey and receive a free pair of Silks Pantyhose. I just completed mine and it said that it will ship in 6 – 8 weeks. I am excited! Silks carries a wide array of hosiery and the short survey will ask you about what you think about the current Silks line and packaging. Hey, I am all for improving the product and if it gets me a freebie for participating, even better!
The Spring Break Essentials collection is cute and casual. I LOVE the metallic flip flops because they can be worn with casual and dressier outfits. They have some really cute bikinis in the clearance section. I saw one in a purple sorbet shade…too cute to pass up!
If you plan on shopping at Smart Set, receive a $25 free savings pass with every $50 (before taxes) that you spend. This promotion is valid on selected regular priced styles.
You have to redeem the savings pass within a time period. This is a great deal, especially if you plan on shopping there for your spring/summer wardrobe. Who can say no to free store credits? I love freebies!
I want to to to this event! It’s too bad that I don’t live in Calgary….
