The New Year

It’s the second week of January and I am slowly snapping out of my post-holiday blues. I am still slowly waking up from a deep sleep of holiday fun and dreams.  By this time most of us have broken our resolutions for the New Year. One of my goals is to be on time, even for the most mundane appointment. So far, not so good!  As for my overall well-being, I would like live healthier. That means eating well, sleeping more, stressing less and (eek!) working out.  To keep things short and sweet, I’ve listed a few things that one can incorporate this month to slowly get the new year going. In keeping with the theme of this blog, here are simple fashion, beauty and (life)style tips to prepare and rejuvenate you for 2009.

Simplify. Organize your closet and make up bag and clear the clutter. Give away things that you won’t miss.

Renew friendships. Call friends that you haven’t seen for a while and schedule a lunch date.

Detoxify. Lose the holiday weight. Drink lemon water every morning and do a body cleanse.

Treat yourself. Schedule a facial to revive your skin or buy yourself a new lipstick.

Smile. Be happy and think about the positive things that today will hold for you.
