Budget Fashion Tip: Shop your closet

By: Oliva De Leon – Gan

Want a new wardrobe without spending a fortune? Set aside a few hours to purge through your closet.  Look for items that you can give a second life to.

- Fix clothes that need some TLC (Pants that need hemming, missing buttons, etc.)

- Look for items that can be revived.  Long skirts can be shortened, shirts can be dyed a different colour, a dress can be made into a top and a skirt…the sky’s the limit!

- Find old treasures! Decide which clothes and accessories you want to keep for seasons to come and give the rest away.  You’ll free up some much needed closet space and simplify your life!
