Canada’s First Fashion & Beauty Blogger Conference Ignites Its Spark This November
Spark Sessions Will Host Over 100 Bloggers at Inaugural Conference in Toronto
TORONTO – Spark Sessions, Canada’s first fashion and beauty blogger conference, will premiere as the ultimate Canuck connection point for bloggers, PR reps, and industry leaders to immerse themselves in blogging education, networking and the exchange of ideas. Held on November 16th and 17th at the Centre for Social Innovation, Spark Sessions will open up a brand new opportunity for top Canadian bloggers, influencers and online writers.
“After attending the top fashion and beauty blogger conferences around the world, I recognized the need for a Canadian born event,” says Marissa Anwar, founder of Spark Sessions. “Canada is rich in blogging content. A unique yearly event to bring everyone together in this industry is both an opportunity to network and a way to expose brands to talented online voices.”
In its inaugural year, Anwar built up an executive team of bloggers who are well-versed in content and creating strong influences and trends online. The executive team includes Anjali Handa, Nicole Wilson, Jenny Jovanovic, Elaine Atkins, Deanne Castro, Anum Khan and Melissa Grosser. In a few short months, the team has built up a prestigious line up of speakers, large fashion and beauty brand participants and an eclectic roster of bloggers and attendees.
Spark Sessions’ speaker line up will be fronted by Lainey Gossip – scribe of the immensely popular gossip blog LaineyGossip.com, Co-host of CTV’s THE SOCIAL, and ETALK Reporter, who will give attendees her back story on how she entered the blogging world and how she leveraged her blog into a national brand online.
Smart Set, one of Canada’s favourite brands for fashionable essentials is rapidly becoming a destination for all lovers of fashion and has signed on as the conference’s Title Fashion Sponsor. In the spirit of coming together and inspiring each other, this fashion label will host an exciting styling challenge for conference participants.
Almay, the colourful cosmetics brand best known for their good-for-you items, has signed on as the conference’s Title Beauty Sponsor – sharing their wonderful range of caring colour and hypoallergenic makeup with conference participants. Almay will treat participants to a gifting station featuring a pro-makeup artist to give customized tips for enhancing your natural beauty and sensitive skin using the latest makeup trends.
Other sponsors include Benefit Cosmetics, Blossom Lounge. SpaFinder and Charming Media.
Spark Sessions is held on Saturday, November 16th and Sunday, November 17th at the Centre for Social Innovation (720 Bathurst Street, Toronto ON, M5S 2R4).
